Learn More This training is designed to provide teachers, social service workers, group home leaders, faith leaders, and others with practical answers for their adolescent client’s questions and behaviors about sexuality.Participants are guided through various information, communication, and advocacy-related skills by trained and certified Health Educators.
We use an internal messaging system specifically for young adults who need to contact a peer advocate — it is NOT a general chat messenger such as MSN Messenger, AIM, Yahoo Live Chat, Gchat or i Chat.Our education programs serve more than 30,000 people every year.We have programs to provide an open door to teens who may not have an adult to answer questions, and to the adults who may not have all the answers.Youth are invited to attend a 2-day weekend training to become a certified peer health educator for the program.
Participants gain leadership skills, learn how to be an advocate and a resource to their peers, and increase their knowledge on a variety of topics such as the importance of goals and values, dating violence, reproductive and sexual health topics, and much more.
